PUBLIC NOTICE
It has come to the attention of the Cooperative Department in the Ministry of Trade and Industry that certain unscrupulous individuals are going around demanding money from the public, specifically Traders and other informal unemployed groups as registration fee for the ‘’Munafa’ Micro-credit Funds.
The Cooperative Department, established by an Act of Parliament since 1977 and Consistent with its mandate only charge minimal registration fee to cover cost of preparation and printing of group bye-laws, certificates and Cooperative record books. However, the Department of Cooperatives still recognize the role played by other Traders Associations/Apexes affiliated and certified by them as cooperatives.
